Implementation of MS Business Central in Seven Countries Unified Greencarrier Liner Agency’s Accounting
The privately owned logistics company Greencarrier Liner Agency implemented Business Central in seven countries with the help of Azets. The previous system was no longer being updated, and the company needed an international solution with local support that could adapt to regulations in multiple countries. Collaboration with Azets has streamlined invoicing and laid the foundation for further development.
Greencarrier Liner Agency chose Microsoft Business Central for its international capabilities. The system needed to operate in seven countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) and adapt to local regulations without major development projects. Another key goal was to improve invoicing efficiency, as the company processes a large volume of invoices.
"We were looking for an international system that works in our seven countries, offers local support, and complies with regulations without major development projects," says Greencarrier Liner Agency’s Global Operations Manager Heikki Aulanko.
Experienced Partner for an International Project
Greencarrier Liner Agency selected Azets for its experience and international network. Azets was able to combine technical expertise with personalised service in a large-scale project.
"Azets had experience with the system and operates in several countries. Azets is a large player, but the service still felt personal. Project management was excellent, even though the delivery was international," Aulanko describes.
Project Organisation Worked Well
The implementation progressed in phases: first in Finland, then in other countries. The project stayed on schedule.
"The project organisation worked really well, and we completed a large-scale implementation quickly. It left a positive impression – Azets’ experts solved problems efficiently and the guidance was just right," Aulanko praises the collaboration.
Efficiency Through Data, Automation and AI
The implementation of Business Central has also laid the groundwork for future development and the use of emerging technologies. Greencarrier Liner Agency sees the system as offering opportunities for better data utilisation in decision-making and for adopting artificial intelligence. The benefits can be extended across the entire group, as all countries use the same platform and data structure.
"One of our goals was to use data more effectively to support decision-making. In the future, we’re also interested in more broadly adopting the opportunities offered by automation and AI within the system," Aulanko explains.
A Successful Overall Outcome
Greencarrier Liner Agency is satisfied with the performance of the new system compared to the previous solution. The implementation went as planned and quickly brought visible improvements to daily operations.
"Overall, the system implementation went very well. We now have an excellent foundation to further develop the system and fully utilise the opportunities it offers," says Aulanko.
The company expects the system to support business operations and enable even more efficient accounting in the future.
